Artistically Inked

We recently brought home a new puppy.....

adorable right?...at least we think so...  His name is Oscar and he's just 10 weeks old and will be a bigger boy and hopefully a gentle giant.  ;-)  Anyway, with all the puppy work around here I'm surprised I was able to spend any time stamping.  Thank goodness puppies sleep a lot which gives me short spurts to do my work. 

I had to make some congratulation & thank you cards so I took out my new set Artistically Inked and starting playing and here is what transpired from my short play time. 

So, using Artistically Inked stamps and coordinating designer paper Expressions in ink with the new Thanks & Hello embossing I set out to make a card and came up with the above.   The colors in this card are Pear Pizzaz and Pale Papaya.  With no Old Olive ribbon in the catalog this year I decided to color the White Crinkle ribbon with colored it with an Old Olive (dark) Stampin' Blends and it turned out great.

 

Secondly, I needed to make some Congratulation cards...however I didn't have any stamps that said Congrats so I used Hip Hip Hooray (you did it) from the stamp set "Best Year"  I think this is the first card I've made with the new Polished Pink in color cardstock 2021-2023 and I like.  I didn't think I'd be a fan of Polished Pink but every year the in colors grow on me and become my new favs....not sure how that works but it just does.  lol

I don't have a "congratulation" stamp in my sets so I used "Hip Hip Hooray" as  my congratulations type saying from the set "Best Year".  Using two designs from the Expressions in Ink designer paper I created a fun background for the large Artistically Inked flower and shadowed it with Magenta Madness cardstock.  Added a little bling with the gold leaves from the "Ephemera Pack" and finished it off.

Not bad for only a 45 minute window of creating while a sleeping puppy lays at my feet.   Off to entertain a 10 week old puppy and hopefully back to my crafting studio later today.
